Twitter – The New Crack

Twitter 48x48 Twitter The New CrackFacebook is easy. It’s the place you chat with REAL people instead of the 5000 friends-you-have-never-met on the other platform. But here’s the catch: Facebook is not as much fun without ……..okay here’s a silly drum roll……. TWITTER!!  I’m addicted!  I admit, I need help.  I’m tweeting right now.

I’ll be honest, I chuckled at folks who could not live without checking their Facebook or Downelink page at least twenty times per day. Being of the Myspace generation, Facebook and the other guys just looked — um boring. But as all things overdone, Myspace is starting to pass. Thanks to Tom’s expected “unexpected errors” and numerous hacks, I stopped logging in for weeks at a time. Facebook was quieter, yes. But it also had less hack and “who’s NOT on your top 8″ drama. So to F-world I went. But let’s get back to the new crack > Twitter.

I can’t help it. It “tweets” me. My iPhone (another addiction we won’t get into right now…lol) runs Twitterific and has an adorable little bird. I rarely answer a phone (due to work) so short texting and micro blogging keep me in touch with lots of people very fast. Damn, I wish I bought stock in that company. The idea is fantastic. Also, I can push blog posts a lot more efficiently to both Facebook AND Twitter. Considering I’m a tech and information junkie – anything that won’t talk to Twitter is a deal breaker in the Blog-O-Sphere, in my opinion. It’s also great for keeping teams in virtual collaboration and businesses (as long as the business doesn’t over tweet like so many did on myspace, ughh)

So there’s my confession. I’m a Twitter whore. I know. I know. Ain’t it dandy. LMAO
